A Hula-Hooping Champion No More...
It's been a CRAZY week! I love summer, but it seems like we haven't sat down for 2 seconds! Yesterday Matt and I took the kids to Cherry Hill- our first visit of the season. My kids can't get enough of it! We definitely put those season passes to good use! Later, London had gymnastics. She had been once before and LOVED it, so we signed her on up and it's all she's been talking about. Last night was not great. Towards the end of class, she was asked (not so politely) to please leave the class and sit with her mom. I love my London, but seriously! Maybe next week she'll listen a little bit better! Then onto my mom's to visit. From there we came home and saw our neighbors outside. We went to hang out for a bit and somehow London found a hula hoop in their garage. Matt thought he'd be a natural, beings he has the high score on the Wii fit and all, but no such luck. Our friend Kevin gave it a try; to no avail. Then in comes me, bragging that I was once the 3rd grade hula-hooping champion. Luckily, I did not disappoint! I did pretty great considering it had been a very long time since I'd last tried. I was feeling pretty good about my newly discovered skills until I got home and my back went out on me. Who was I kidding? I guess these hips need to settle into early retirement!

You go Hula-Hoop Champion! Great Story.
That is funny.. I remember teaching dance and some of the little girls in there OH BOY!! but never did I have them leave, they are kids !!! I am glad you still can hula.. and now sorry that your back hurts.. getting older stinks.
Baby J! I am laughing my head off! You really threw your back out? That is so funny. I say this in a sympathetic “I feel your pain” kind of way.
You are tons better than me. I wouldn't even attempt to hula-hoop at this point in life, and not because I am prego. Mostly because I tried a few years ago and I wasn't so good.
I am jealous that you can do it still.
I bet you are ONE SEXY HULA HOOPER! I'm not surprised at all that you were the 3rd grade champ!
Hope you enjoyed your time alone and got your house spotless!
Dang girl, shake those hips. I've never been good at the hula...I'm jealous of you!!
What a funny story....I can just picture you out in the drive just a shakin those hips!!! Hope you back gets feeling better soon!!
Too funny! Hey at least you showed up the men. That is all that matters.
I'm sorry about your back! I'm suprised it didn't hurt when you were showing the boys up with how bad it's been lately! Can't wait to use our Cherry Hill pass with you guys!!
lol! I am only laughing because I played softball yesterday in the hot sun and now today I am so stiff I could't even get up to go to church. The old gray mule she ain't what she use to be.
