We just got Pippi's newborn pictures back from Kelli Jo. We love them! I love how small and squishy she is! I just LOVE the birth announcement Kelli designed for us. Can't wait to have some of these printed out! My 2 favorite pictures won't upload, so I'll just keep trying!

Beck's Birthday Bash!

Opening presents!
We celebrated Beckett's 3rd birthday with a family party last night. I've never seen a kid so excited to open presents! He was even thrilled about opening clothes! Every box he opened, he said, "oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I love new shoes! (or insert presents contents)" So cute! He picked out a skateboard, helmet and pads from us, and my parents bought him a spiderman bike. He couldn't be more excited! He had a great birthday!

The story behind this picture...Well I was nursing little Piper on Friday when Matt and Beck came downstairs with new haircuts! Matt was thrilled. I was not. A mowhawk is cute on Beck, beings he is 3. But beings that Matt is 32 and neither a hoodlum nor a white supremacist, it had to go! He was a little sad, but loves that I liked the cut on Beck. We had to get a picture of my boys and their matching haircuts, even if it was only for 10 minutes! Beck LOVES the haircut! He asks everyone he sees if they like it too!

Our little buddy is turning 3 today! I can't believe how quick time has flown! I swear he was just born! Beckett is such a joy in our family. He gets away with murder because of his cuteness and adorable voice! He sort of passed by the "terrible twos," but is making up for it now that he's turning 3! He's obsessed with playing "pitch" (mostly in the house; yeah, I know I'll regret this at some point...) golfing, playing basketball, playing with London and her friends, Spiderman, and playing outside. I can't imagine life without Beck. He is so snuggly and sweet. He tells me a million times a day that we're "best fwends fo-eva." There's just something about this little boy! Happy Birthday Beckett!

London's 5th Birthday Party!

London had a great birthday! We started the day off with opening presents from Mommy and Daddy, then off to the first day of swim lessons! Both kids are in lessons and love it! London had her "friend" party that afternoon and invited a mere 27 friends! She finally settled on a "Hello Kitty splash party" theme. She and her friends had such a fun time! We did lots of water games, a slip n slide, sprinklers, a pinata, presents and cake and ice cream! Later that night we celebrated again with a family party. It was a great day!

Happy Birthday London! I can't believe that my beautiful firstborn is already 5! London is definitely one of a kind! She's so, so smart, funny, and imaginative! She LOVES being the big sister, playing "family", playing with friends, baking, making crafts, special one on one time with Mommy and Daddy, playing outside, riding her bike, shopping, and helping around the house. She really makes every day an adventure! We don't know what we'd do without our London! Happy Birthday Londy Kate!

Our first week home!

Piper, 4 days old!

Yeah, 3 kids is crazy! Luckily Matt has been home since we had Piper, which has made the adjustment a whole lot easier! We've been so busy since we've been home; mostly arguing who gets to hold the baby and how long! We had to finish the girls' room, which I now LOVE! It needed some personality! We've been out and about, visiting with friends, family, and just running errands. Baby Piper is just a joy to have in our home! We can't get enough of her! She's been such a great baby! She even has had a couple of nights where she's slept from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am. It was wonderful! We also went to a surprise birthday party for one of Matt's good friends' from HS, Sharee and for her sister Julianne. So much fun to visit with old friends! Overall, it's been a pretty great week!

Introducing...

Little Miss Piper Jane Thorell!

Piper was born Tuesday, July 7th! We are so excited she's finally here! Here's the story...

So, I was scheduled to be induced on the 7th, so I woke up around 5:30 am to shower and get ready to head to the hospital. Funny thing, though, my water actually broke in the shower, (and the rest on the way to the hospital...)and in no time my contractions were about 2 minutes apart. We waited for my mom to come over to the house to watch the kids, and then headed to the hospital. I've been induced with my other two babies, so this whole labor thing was crazy! We checked into the hospital, and my doctor was in within a couple of minutes to check me. I was at a 5. (This is around 7:00 am) Well, about an hour and a half later, I was in some major labor and one anestesist was in with my doctor on a c-section, and the other was nowhere to be found. My contractions were, in my humble opinion pretty terrible, and an epidural would have been nice! Around 8:45, the nurse finally found the epidural guy. It took 15 minutes or so to do the epidural, and at that point, the nurse decided to check me, and I was at an 8. The epidural didn't take so well, and the anestesist gave me another dose, my doctor came in to check me, and said that the baby was on her way out! I had a solid 20 minutes of labor free pain, and honestly, it was well worth it! I pushed twice, and out came baby Piper! She was born at 9:28 am and weighed in at 7 lbs, 5 oz. and 20 inches. (exactly the same as my other two; how crazy is that?) She has a ton of dark hair, and is just perfect! We just LOVE her!

Her little fingers are so long! She definitely did NOT get my fingernails! Her's look like she just had a manicure!

We just LOVE the 4th of July! We love parades, BBQ's, family, friends, fireworks, etc...We had a jam packed day, and loved every second of it! We hit the Kaysville parade, shopped a bit, went to my mom's for her annual 4th BBQ, home for much needed naptime, to the Layton "carnival", and finally to the fireworks! The fireworks were amazing this year! The kids haven't stopped talking about them! Plus, my mom always makes us rootbeer floats, so how can the night be anything but great???
