Pumpkin Carving!

I LOVE Pumpkin carving! York and Jenny (well just Jenny since York was sadly out of town) hosted our second annual Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza! (I just made that name up, but it has a nice ring to it!) We ate a yummy dinner, made caramel apples, and carved pumpkins. We really had the best time! I had stolen Lichelle's caramel recipe and was SO excited to make regular and mini caramel apples. Needless to say, I must have over cooked the caramel and it was more like rock-solid toffee. Still tasted good, but not many were eaten...
Last year, I made Londy a Dora the Explorer pumpkin, and this year she wanted Ariel. My attempt was pretty lame, but what do you expect? She was just upset because I didn't make an Eric pumpkin to go with it.

The caramel apples; we get a big "E" for effort!

Londy
This is the "perfect pumpkin" that London picked out for me to carve Ariel on. I'm pretty sure the back was just dirty, and not moldy...
Just picture the pumpkin with long, flowing red hair instead of a burgundy dish towl!

The kids just played and jumped during the festivities; we love York and Jenny's house!

Cammers and Londy

Beck came out of Camryns room dressed like this. What a stud?!? Should we be worried? He's also taken to liking tiaras and clogs...
What is it about kids and hiding?

A big thanks to Jenny who took all these pictures! My camera will hopefully be done this week! Thanks again for having us over!

Ariel looks great! It's better than I could have done. So, is that trampoline built into the floor of their basement, or what? That looks awesome, wherever it is!

I think the Ariel looks incredible. Much better than I could have done. Chad is the pumpkin carver in our house. I'm actually trying to get out of doing it at all this year. I'm sure I'll lose that battle though!

How fun don't you just love this time of year. I have never seen baby caramel apples they are pretty cute and easier for the kids to eat. We may need to steal that idea. Love Ariel very cute.

I love reading your blog! It always makes me smile and laugh. I love that London got her ears pierced! Even more the story of beck and the pants LOL. I think that ones happened a few times to me. Love the picture of you and London. It is really cute even being blury.
