More Cuteness...

My London is so thoughtful! She is constantly writing love notes for each of us! She also loves sneaking up to the playroom, creating a craft of some sort at her project table and surprising one of us with it! She just makes my day! Below is one of the love notes she made for Pippi. We each received a similar note! (she never writes "mom and dad" either. It's always "Matt and Jylaire." I'm just impressed that she's got my name down all by herself!)
Above is a project she made for me yesterday. She was so proud of her work! Obviously, it's a "mommy spider." At least I'm a smiling mommy spider!
Piper hasn't been the world's greatest sleeper as of late. My other kids were champion sleepers at this age. They both slept through the night by 3 months...Pippi has other ideas. She's still up to nurse 1 or two times at night. Last night she was up at 1:30 and maybe 5:30. I fed her and after the later feeding, I laid her down again. She woke up like 5 minutes after that. I was freakishly tired, and since she had a full tummy, it was daddy's turn to take over! The rest of us woke up around 8:00 and went downstairs. This is what I found. Matt loves to snuggle this little girl! He said he had tried and tried to lay her back down, but she wasn't having it. She's spoiled rotten! He gave up and snuggled her to sleep on the couch. She is stubborn, but so squishable!

New Beginnings!

Last night was our Young Women's New Beginnings. I'm still fairly new to the YW program, but I think it turned out great! The theme this year is from Joshua 1:9; "Be of good courage..." We decided on a Wizard of Oz theme. There were so many ideas to draw from! The lion wanted courage; the tin man wanted "a heart like His." The scarecrow was seeking knowledge, and Dorothy was just trying to make her way Home. We made a "Value Brick Road" from down the hallway up to the speakers podium. My kiddos and I made the "fields of poppies" background. They loved it! The road lead to a picture of the Savior and the Temple. We had great speakers, introduced the new changes in the Personal Progress Program, and had yummy refreshments! All in all, a great night!

Fire Station Fieldtrip!

(The boys wanted a picture with a "real fireman" so he bent down to take a picture. I love that Beck thought he should crouch down, too!)

Miss Diana's preschool class!

Beckett had his highly anticipated Fire Station fieldtrip last week! Beck went with London's class last year, and has been talking about it ever since! I love seeing him with his preschool friends. First of all, he's about a head shorter than the next smallest kid. Second, he loves all his friends and is so cute around them! I love it! We toured the facility, then went to see the fire trucks and ambulance. The boys were so impressed! Fun, fun day!
For some reason, Beck's best friend, Carter, went in for an unexpected kiss on the cheek! Luckily, I was ready with camera in hand! I'm sure they'll love that I documented the moment someday!
My Pipster and Matter. Big fans of the fire station scene...

Piper at 6 months!

Our Pippi girl is already 6 months old! She had her 6 month visit last week. I just can't believe how quickly the time has gone by! Her appointment stats were:

Height 26 "- 55%
Weight 17 lbs 3 oz- 75%
Head 17"-71%
She's so much smaller than the other kids were, but still has plenty of chub! She is such a joy! She's been dealing with some crappy ear infections as of late, so sleeping/eating aren't the best, but she is still so much fun! Her newest thing is blowing raspberries while nursing. She does it then laughs a little. So cute! She also talks, well babbles, like crazy! She's an accomplished roller, and is getting pretty good at sitting. She loves sitting in her highchair like a big girl. She's got the hang of eating baby food down and has liked everything we've tried. She still won't take a bottle; pretty stubborn that way! She loves to chew on her hands and feet and constantly twirls the hair behind her ears. Too cute!

She's an eater!

My baby is officially an eater! We started her out on baby oatmeal about 2 weeks ago, and last week she started on the orange vegetables! I've waited until my babies were 6 months old to even start baby cereal, but she was so interested in food! She's loving what she's tried so far! She's so dang cute!

Self Proclaimed "best buddies" Beck and Tucker!
They actually just call eachother "best buddy" rather than by name!
Best buddies holding hands!

We were lucky enough to spend New Year's this year in St. George and Las Vegas! It was a great little getaway! First of all we learned several things...
1. Snow makes the drive take about 7 1/2 hours one way.
2. Piper + long car rides= not the best idea for sanity's sake
3. Leapsters make fantastic car entertainment when the kids have done something to the car's DVD player
4. 16 people can fit into the condo! (10 of them being kids ages 5 and under...)
We seriously had a great time! It was so fun to get away with friends, and later family, for even a couple of days! We headed to St. George the Tuesday after Christmas. Drew, Matt's friend from work, and his wife, Kristie brought their 3 kids along, too! Their kids are exactly our kids' ages, and they all get along great. It makes for fun times! The roads were pretty bad most of the way so we took it slow. Piper decided that she REALLY despised her car seat for most of that ride. Fun... The older kiddos did great. We made it down there and were ready to vacation! We took the kids to Vegas Wednesday. The highlight was definitely the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay. The kids were in heaven! It was so dang cute watching them walking around listening to the guided audio tour, and occasionally stopping to scream out random facts about the creatures. So cute! I had to take pictures of Matter and the baby. Not a whole lot of men walking around Vegas wearing a Baby Bjorn. He was a trooper! We took the kids to see the water show at the Bellagio, to Treasure Island to eat, to walk around the Mirage, and to see the crazies on the Vegas Strip. Good times...
The next day, the boys went golfing while Kristie and I wrangled the kids. We headed to the outlets and did some great shopping, then onto dinner. Let's just say that we won't be returning to the St. George Chili's anytime soon... It was New Year's Eve, if you can't tell by our amount of celebrating! Beings the fun folk that we are, we went back to the condo, got the kids in bed, and settled in to watch a movie. Matt was asleep within minutes. So basically my New Years was spent as a third wheel watching a movie! It was actually really fun.
We headed home Friday and went straight to the "friends" holiday party. I wish so bad I would have taken my camera in! We look forward to this party every year! It's all of Matt's high school buddies and the wives. We have dinner, a great white elephant gift exchange, and some crazy games/competitions. So much fun! We had a great week!

He's a "Beamer!"

My little guy is officially a Sunbeam now. I want to cry! He loved going to Primary today! He sang his little heart out in Singing Time earning him a special hat for being the best singer in Primary! I thought he'd miss nursery for sure, but he did great!
