New Beginnings!

Last night was our Young Women's New Beginnings. I'm still fairly new to the YW program, but I think it turned out great! The theme this year is from Joshua 1:9; "Be of good courage..." We decided on a Wizard of Oz theme. There were so many ideas to draw from! The lion wanted courage; the tin man wanted "a heart like His." The scarecrow was seeking knowledge, and Dorothy was just trying to make her way Home. We made a "Value Brick Road" from down the hallway up to the speakers podium. My kiddos and I made the "fields of poppies" background. They loved it! The road lead to a picture of the Savior and the Temple. We had great speakers, introduced the new changes in the Personal Progress Program, and had yummy refreshments! All in all, a great night!

WAY cute idea!!! I LOVE it. You spent a lot of time. I didn't know you were in YW. What do you do in the YW program?I would Love to hear all of your YW ideas as you have them, I am always looking for new stuff.
Also, your bedtime routine sounds a lot like ours. I love it when bedtime rolls around so I can have MY time. But, lots of times the boys, especially Cole doesn't let me have MY time. Oh well, they are only LITTLE once..Right, or atleast I tell my self that.
