Heritage Days 2010

We look forward to our local heritage days every year, and this year did not disappoint! They always have a fantastic parade and a whole week of fun activities. The parade this year was a different experience because it was the week that Beck broke his collar bone and the morning after he had his stitches. Well, having a kid in a sling, wrap, and Frankenstein looking stitches is the ONLY way to hit a parade! The paradees (is that even a word?!?) would be throwing candy or frisbees, or whatever and then they'd see my little Beck sadly waving with his good arm. That kid made out like a bandit! We ended up with 4 frisbees, a couple of water bottles, tshirts, and entire shopping bag full of candy, and stuffed animals! Beck's favorite was this devil looking stuffed animal. He lovingly placed it in his newly acquired tshirt, wrapped it up, and laid it down for a nap. I love this little guy! London was wonderful during the parade; especially since a lot of my attention was going towards my little guy. Pip was in fine form. Definitely not a happy camper that morning. Matt was working, so my mom graciously volunteered to help me out with my crazies. She ended up with the Pipster who was so sad with all the super loud sirens and whoelse knows what... What made her finally happy, you ask? Playing in the cooler. Go figure. We had an amazing morning at the parade!

This is my favorite from the day!

My little guy!

I can't stop laughing looking at her saddest little face! Classic!

Ah, finally happy with the cooler and an otterpop!

So fun! I love parades, but they are so hot! I wish I could climb in a cooler! Piper is so sweet!
