When Boredom Strikes!

So, a couple nights ago, Matt was working late and after a while, I got bored; way bored. I started looking through one of my memory boxes and saw some pictures of Matt and I on our honeymoon. I thought, my hair looks super cute there! (in the pictures my hair was highlighted and I was super tan- a big difference from now; my hair is naturally super dark, and I'm a nice shade of pasty white. ) I happened to have one of those "do it yourself" multi-step hair color boxes. Not my finest moment. When I finally rinsed the "highlight" creme off, I was a brilliant shade of orange. The first picture does me no justice. I called my hair gal and told her I looked just like Tony the Tiger. Not cute. The first thing Matt said when he saw it was, "hey there, copper top!" Luckily, I was able to get it dyed back to my natural color the next day. Thank you Matt for insisting we take pictures so that I can always be reminded not to color my own hair!

Yeah, I think I'll stick with my gothic look for now! It sure beats looking like this:

Thank-You for documenting that horrific experience. The color doesn't look so bad though. I've always been so afraid to try new colors in my hair BY MYSELF because it ALWAYS turns red on me. Too scary. Tomorrow I'm getting my hair done and it's BEYOND time. I can't wait.

Love your new look! You could wear a paper sack and still look gorgeous and I love the pics of your kids in the background.

You crack me up! The funny thing to me is that you probably got that lovely box of hair dye at RITE AID for free! Am I right?? I love it. You always look beautiful no matter what your hair looks like!

I have had those moments. Thank you for posting because I almost just did my hair myself today. ;)
I love your hair dark. You are too cute!

That's funny. That's why these blogs are so much fun. You can remind yourself of mistakes later. I don't think it looked that bad but I really like the dark hair. I always wish I was dark. We always want what we don't have!

That is hilarious! I'm sorry I am laughing at your expense, but it's funny. You got it fixed though right....you are so beautiful you would have looked fine with the orange anyway!

that is too funny! I have made that mistake (over and over again)! Someday I will learn.

I love the dark hair/pasty white look, and you pull it off rather well!

I don't think I could ever color my own hair. I couldn't even image what it would turn out like. The picture defeinitely doesn't look as bad as you make it sound. Glad you were able to get it fixed though!!

I think you could pull off any craziness that you do to your hair! Thanks for not publicly blaming me for the mishap! I'm sorry that I inspired you to look through old pictures. Please forgive me!

I am so glad I am not the only one who gets bored. But I too have learned my lesson.

I was tempted myself, just the other day. I had the coupon and it was on sale. Now I think I'm glad I resisted. Although, your hair wasn't bad. I thought it looked better then some that get it professionally done. I do envy you your thick, dark locks!

Soo funny I get a few of my clients in because they have done that. Even my sisters did it after I told them to wait and I would do it later. I tell people it is not as easy as they make it look on t.v. But, Even I have done it before I did hair so I guess we all have to try once. So funny I love it.
