Mesquite

Okay, that last picture WILL NOT TURN! Lame. Anyways, in January, Matt and I dropped the kiddos off at his dad's house in Centerfield, and headed with Drew and Kristi to Mesquite. Kristi's parents have an amazing home there. We spent Saturday golfing with the guys. When I say golfing, I mean us girls riding around in our own golf cart in the freezing wind/rain, huddled under a blanket, and occasionally playing a hole. Sounds miserable, but it really was fun! We only played nine because of the weather, so the guys got a raincheck for the next day, and we headed to Vegas! We spent the afternoon shopping at the outlets, and then onto dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! We headed back to Mesquite, and spent the next day relaxing before heading home. It was a great little getaway!

Pippi/Daddy nap time

Sometimes when Matt has worked overnight and the Pipster is being a stinker about her nap; this cuteness happens! Is there anything cuter?

Belated Christmas Post!

Waiting on the stairs while Mom gets the tree turned on!
Beck with his new peewee pillow pet frog! Pip just looks confused!

Santa brought London a sewing machine!

Beck gets so excited with EVERY single present! He loved the Star Wars Character Encyclopedia!

A new DS game!

We spent Christmas morning opening presents at home. Then, we headed south to Grammy Jennifer's house! We opened more gifts with Grammy, and Wade, Melissa, Averie, and Keaton. The kids had so much fun playing together! Around nap time, we headed home for 30 minutes or so, then headed to Grandma Jilly's! We opened stockings, my personal favorite, and then gifts from everyone. Then, we had an amazing dinner! Wish I would have taken more pictures! It was a wonderful Christmas!

Cammers and Londy

opening her stocking from Grandma Jilly!

Beck and his new Air Force backpack! Ryan took Beck to the HAFB a few days before Christmas and her picked Beck up this backback, a hat, and some pins for the backpack. Beck was in HEAVEN!

Tess? (they look SO much alike) and the Pipster. They are so cute together!

Londy's Piano Recital!

Okay, so I'm not receiving any Mother of the Year awards for this post. It was in early December. I forgot to video it, and since Matt thought I WAS recording it, he only took three pictures! Needless to say, she did amazing! She did a duet with Miss Amy, her teacher. We were so lucky to have so many family join us there! We had my mom, my grandparents, Aunt Jenny (with Cammers and Reesey), Aunt Hydee, and Wade and Melissa (with Keat and Averie.) We went to dinner afterwards. It was Londy's pick, and she thought that the Sizzler was best. We had a great dinner, and are so proud of our little pianist!

Nope, she's not possessed. Just in a hurry to sit down after her song!

Londy's Book...

Londybug was trying to make a book for her cousin Reesey's birthday party today. Last night we were at my mom's and she was making the book with Cammers and Kalena. I went in to check on them, and found her crying by herself. I assumed she was just feeling left out, so I asked her what was wrong. She replied, "Mommy, we're trying to write and illustrate this book for Reesey! I asked the girls for ideas for the book, but they just keep talking about other stories, like Cinderella. That's plagerism, Mom; PLAGERISM! They want me to steal another author's ideas, and I won't do it. IT'S STEALING AND I WON'T STEAL ANOTHER AUTHOR'S WORDS!" I didn't quite know what to say at this point. They didn't cover this in the parenting manuel! I simply said, "I just love you, London." Then I left. It was just a little too crazy in there for me! What an amazing little girl she is! Here's the finished product! I think it's super cute!

(if you can't tell, it's Strawberry Shortcake and Phineus from Phineus and Ferb)

LOVE it!

Family Pics 2011!

A big thanks to my Sis in law, Melissa, for taking our family pics this year! If I were more on the ball, I'd be posting about Thanksgiving, and the Christmas Holiday season! I, however, am not. The past 2 months have FLOWN by! We've been crazy busy, and blogging has been pushed to the bottom of the list! I'm going to try and be better in the new year. I love having this as a journal for my children.

Our Christmas was wonderful; nonstop fun with family and friends. We are truly blessed to live where we live and to associate with all the wonderful people that we associate with! We are so blessed with great friends and family. We are blessed with 3 healthy, beautiful little ones. It doesn't get much better than this. We are just so lucky!

To My Londy Bug...

Oh, my Londy Lou Who...It's been a long, but great year for us! You're been your best and your most difficult, and I wouldn't change a thing! You are thriving in the second grade! You're excelling in math, just like your Daddy! You've started gymnastics, and are a natural! You're still doing piano, and also did a theatre camp this summer. You're one busy girl, and that's how you like it! You still do best with a lot of structure and activity. Behavior wise, you're doing SO much better with the last therapy we did. You're a new little girl! It's so great to see you being able to enjoy every day things without the little things freaking you out. It makes mommy want to cry to think of how great you are doing! You're still a typical 7 year old, but you're such a fun girl to have around!

You LOVE to play with friends, and do whenever you can! You love to sew (you look lessons this summer, and LOVE it!), bake, do crafts, play piano, play makeup, play house, and do gymnastics. You're so domestic! I love having my mini me around! We are SO similar! Sometimes, too much so! You know how to push mommys buttons, but also how to weasel your way into almost anything! You absolutely adore Piper. You love to play with her and to "be in charge" every once in a while. You're a great little reader and love being in your own room now so you can read before bedtime. You love doing your hair every morning before school. You're great at it! You're so incredibly smart London! You're amazing! You asked, just this morning, for some rubbing alcohol so you could attempt to make a homemade thermometer. When I said "absolutely not," you just shrugged, and said, "well, I guess I'll just have to do another experiment instead!" You ended up getting 2 glass jars, adding food coloring, and added water at different temperatures. Then you put the hot one in the freezer, and the cold one in the fridge to see what the temperatures would be like in an hour. Not many 7 year olds doing that on a Saturday morning! You've always been beyond your years!

London, you've been such a blessing! We are constantly amazed with you! You are an incredible little girl, and we are so lucky to have you as our first born!!!
