Piper Jane is 2!

Pippi Jane...How on earth do I describe this little love bug of mine? Well, for starters, she's now officially 2! Her birthday is today. It's been a great day. Mostly for us as a family, because she has no clue it is her birthday! She woke up to a decorated room/house. She opened presents. We all went to Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch. (she walked away with a slinky. She was thrilled!) Then we spent the evening at my cousin's daughter's birthday swimming party. It was perfect. The kids love to swim! We're having her little family party tomorrow night, so maybe it'll seem more like her birthday then!

This little girl is the light of our lives. She is beautiful, sassy, hilarious, and smart. She's the world's greatest eater, too! Her favorite foods are: green beans, peas, shrimp, noodles, chicken, corn on the cob, smoothies, apples, and grapes. She still sleeps around 12 hours at night and naps around 3+ hours every afternoon. She's trying to potty train herself. I'm not quite ready! She loves her shopping cart, purses, her ladybug pillow pet, and sunglasses. She won't watch tv at all. She loves shoes and would spend all day trying on and walking around in new shoes! She's a total snuggle bug; she loves to be held! She's a little runt! My other kids were HUGE, so having this skinny thing is something different. I'm interested in what her stats will be at her 2 year check up.

It's bittersweet having my baby turn 2. Never again will I have a "baby." It's hard, but I'm so excited for the toddler phase! Happy Birthday Pippi!!!

Funny...

One of the kids took this pic of Pip. I think it's hilarious. Maybe it's just because I'm the mom...

Beck's Preschool Graduation!

The Beckster, Jenna, and James, singing the alphabet song; complete with hand actions!

Beck is officially a preschool graduate! I can't believe he's on his way to kindergarten next year. He's taken from Miss Diana for 2 years and has done amazingly! He's writing his name and reading pretty well! The biggest challenge of preschool has been trying to figure out if he's right or left handed! Crazy, we know! He still switches back and forth, even in one sitting. He does everything left handed when it comes to sports, but writes with both. We're not encouraging either, but at some point, he'll have to choose! He's such a great little guy! It seems like just yesterday, he was my squidgy little baby boy who was held and snuggled constantly. Now he's on to kindergarten!

He's just learned that crossing his eyes makes people laugh. He looks hilarious!

Crappy Full House Episode...

My kids are obsessed with watching Full House. Their favorite episode lately is the one where Stephanie accidentally cuts off Uncle Jesse's mullet. Beck followed suit today by taking Piper in his room and cutting her beautiful hair! I could have killed the kid. Yes, I'm fully aware that hair grows back. She just has beautiful hair! Plus, I finally got a girl WITH hair... Anyways Matt got home from work tonight and noticed a chunk of her hair gone on the crown of her hair. I had been making dinner and hadn't noticed. I went over to take a closer look and saw a bigger chunk off the bottom! Beck and London both swore up and down that they "didn't do it." After a little coaxing, Beck admitted to cutting her hair. He went and got the pile of hair from his room. It took all I had not to cry. I talked to him and sent him to his room for a bit while I tried to fix his handy work. One year old are not easy to cut hair on! I think the finished product is pretty dang cute, but I'm still a little sad. She could care less. She just ran around all night saying, "Beck cut?" and pointed to her hair. Oh well, it'll grow back, right???
The finished product! I'm now aware that my mirror is in desperate need of cleaning! Piper wore this I heart NY Tshirt all afternoon; one arm out to maintain a cooler look...

Messy faced Pip!

From the back...

Working a little art project after her haircut(s)!

Londybug

Yep, the whole tongue CAN fit through that gap! Watching her eat corn on the cob is hilarious!

The picture above is one of my alltime favs of the Katertot! I snapped these pics while she was coloring last week with the best friend, Bellah. I wanted to document plenty of pics of her toothless smile before it changes!

Memorial Day 2011

On Memorial Day, we went to the ward breakfast and then onto the cemetary. Notice anything wrong with this picture?!? Maybe it's the snow, parka, and Ugg boots... Yeah, it's really Memorial day!

Art Show!

London and her sign that read, "London's Art Show. At my house rite at 2:00 for 1$00. Classic!

London is definitely my mini-me. As a child, I did nearly ANYthing to earn a buck. This may have included charging friends to put makeup on them, selling free rental magazines door to door, swindling my folks to buy stuff from me at my Saturday morning bedside sales, and of course, lemonade/candy/baked good stands. London definitely has my entreprenuereal desires! She also loves art. This past Saturday while Matt's mom was visiting, London decided that an art show was in order. She posed signs in the house letting everyone know the time, place, and cost. Yeah, it cost us to get in. Don't worry, I talked her down from a dollar to a quarter per person... Then we looked around and were told the prices of each painting. She's definitely a character! I love her creativity and free spirit. She's such an individual, and we absolutely adore her for that! The show was a success!

A sampling of her "style" of artwork!

Always trying to earn a buck!

+Posing with her pics!

The Pipsta looking a tad bit special, but darling nonetheless!
