Deja vu

Yes, I've posted this post before. Well, almost!
Last Tuesday, London got a nice shiner on her left eye by hitting it on the bathroom counter. Well last night, she got a second black eye when the dolly porta crib she was playing in (and wasn't supposed to) flipped up and the pvc joints that hold it together hit her right in the eye. Poor kid!

This is london's attept to wink. She just opens one eye bigger than the other and looks a little bit special...

On a happier note, Beckett pooped in the potty today! This is day #2 of him telling me everytime he has to go potty, and actually doing it instead of playing with the toilet paper! He got off the potty when he was done and said, "now I wear my Spiderman undies!" He was so excited! (The reason my kids look so messy is that I gave Beck an oreo for sitting on the potty, and then Londy wanted one, and there's no cleanliess in the Oreo!)

Cookies, cookies, cookies!

My mom and I started a little cookie/candy/gift basket business a year or so ago. We were asked to make Russian Nesting Doll cookies for a Russian art show/auction last week. Here's the finished product! Kind of fun, but pretty time consuming. Matt said that if we were truly doing nesting dolls, we should have put a cookie, in a cookie, in a cookie....

Family Picture Info

Several of you have asked who took our family pictures. It was Kelli Jo (Murdock) Willard. She's fantastic, right? She's having a baby next week, so she'll be out of commission for a couple of weeks, but she said she'll be ready to start again in the first part of October. That way, you'll still have plenty of time to use them as Christmas cards! She took my kids pics last year and designed our Christmas cards, and they were amazing! Thanks again Kel!

Happy Birthday, Jenny!

Tomorrow is my sister-in-law, Jenny's, 28th birthday! I just wanted to wish her a very Happy Birthday and let her know just how much we love her! I can't imagine York marrying anyone more perfect for him or our family! We love you Jenny!

It's been a busy week!

So, in the last week...

Matt finally got his golf cart....

London had her first day of Preschool...

She also started a Ballet/Tap class...

And we went to Wyoming to a cabin with Sterling and Erin Jack and their cute family! We had a blast at the cabin! We just went for one night, but we had a great time!

London, Emma, and Natalie
We passed these cool looking windmills in Evanston so we stopped to take some pics

The kids in the Ranger

This is the only picture we got of the family. My battery died shortly after...Oh, we finally got our new car, too! You can sort of see it, under all the dirt from the drive up, in the background. All in all, a pretty great week!

5 Years and 2 Kids Later!

One of our engagement picturesOne of my favorite wedding pics
5 years later!
Matt and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary on Sept. 4th! It has been the greatest 5 years of my life! How we met is WAY different depending on which one of us tells the story, but in the end, it was love! We started dating in March of 2003, were engaged in May, and married Sept. 4 in the Salt Lake Temple! We hadn't planned on starting a family as quickly as we did, but wouldn't have it any other way. Matt is truly the best man in the world for me. As I've said before, he handles my crazy well. Being married is so much better than I ever could have imagined! I'm a big fan! I just can't believe how quickly the time has gone! I am truly blessed to have a great husband and father for our children! Happy Anniversary honey!
We figured that since it had been 5 years since we'd had a picture taken of us, and had never had a family picture done, it was time! Kelli Jo took these a couple of weeks ago, and they turned out great! I won't bore everyone with all the pictures, but here's a few of our favorites!

Labor Day!

We actually didn't do much this Labor Day weekend, and that was okay with me! We've been car shopping, which took up most of Saturday, we spoke in Sacrament meeting on Sunday, and just ran errands on Monday while Matt worked. Last night, Monday, our friends Jason and Kelley called and invited us to go with them to the Classic Fun Center.

Just a side note: do any of you remember going there on a weekend night to skate? Remember the "girls only" and "boys only" skate times where the girls would line up on the outside of the rink and the boys would slap our hands? And the "couples only" skates? Yeah, too funny!

Londy playing my favorite: Skee ball!

Anyways, we had the greatest time! The kids love the bouncy things and the Pirates Cove climbing thing. The tokens there are only $.10, so we played tons of games. Matt and I's favorite was "Deal or No Deal." Yeah, I held out to the end and won 30 tickets. We ate a ginormous pizza, played millions of arcade games, played with the kids, and had a great time!

This is London at home before we left, complete with brownie in hand

This is what happens to hair after a good game of DDR!
