Little Miss Piper Jane Thorell!

Piper was born Tuesday, July 7th! We are so excited she's finally here! Here's the story...
So, I was scheduled to be induced on the 7th, so I woke up around 5:30 am to shower and get ready to head to the hospital. Funny thing, though, my water actually broke in the shower, (and the rest on the way to the hospital...)and in no time my contractions were about 2 minutes apart. We waited for my mom to come over to the house to watch the kids, and then headed to the hospital. I've been induced with my other two babies, so this whole labor thing was crazy! We checked into the hospital, and my doctor was in within a couple of minutes to check me. I was at a 5. (This is around 7:00 am) Well, about an hour and a half later, I was in some major labor and one anestesist was in with my doctor on a c-section, and the other was nowhere to be found. My contractions were, in my humble opinion pretty terrible, and an epidural would have been nice! Around 8:45, the nurse finally found the epidural guy. It took 15 minutes or so to do the epidural, and at that point, the nurse decided to check me, and I was at an 8. The epidural didn't take so well, and the anestesist gave me another dose, my doctor came in to check me, and said that the baby was on her way out! I had a solid 20 minutes of labor free pain, and honestly, it was well worth it! I pushed twice, and out came baby Piper! She was born at 9:28 am and weighed in at 7 lbs, 5 oz. and 20 inches. (exactly the same as my other two; how crazy is that?) She has a ton of dark hair, and is just perfect! We just LOVE her!
Her little fingers are so long! She definitely did NOT get my fingernails! Her's look like she just had a manicure!

She is just soooo cute! I am so sorry that you weren't able to fully bennefit from the epidural but I bet those 20 min were well worth it. I am glad things went so well!

she is adorable! makinley was due on the 7th and i thought she'd come early like the 2 before her...she had other plans and came 2 days late! the little stinker. your little piper jane is adorable. i love love love her name! too cute. congrats to your family.

She's so dang cute! And that headband is super cute with all of her hair! I can't believe she has so much. I hope she's been a good baby for you so far...Can't wait to see her again soon.
P.S. I don't know of ANYONE that looks as good as you did after just having her! You're so pretty!!

Oh my goodness, she is soooooo cute! I can't believe the dark hair. I could not handle labor without an epidural - especially when it comes that fast. I would not be a happy camper! I am so excited all went well!
