Beckett turned 4!

Oh, Beckett! My little guy turned 4 yesterday! I can't believe how quick he has grown up! There is something so unbelieveably irresistable about this little boy! He is so loveable, so squishable, and so hilarious! His little voice makes me melt! I love that he asks me almost every day if he and I are getting married when he grows up. Sure, Beck! I just hope he always loves his mommy like he did when he turned 4... We love you little buddy! Happy Birthday Beck!

Happy Birthday London!

Our little Londy Lou Who turned 6 this week! I just can't believe that 6 years have passed since she entered this world. My whole universe changed with this little girl! She is the funniest kid! She always keeps us laughing! Someone called her on her birthday and asked if she "felt 6 yet." She thought for a second and then said, "I feel more like, I don't know, 35 or so!" Okay...
She is so, so smart! She loves to read, write love notes, and can't wait to be in first grade next month! She plays constantly, and loves being outside riding her bike or scooter. She loves helping mom bake, and is so proud that she can now separate an egg just using both halves of the shell! She's definitely a challenge at times, but we love our Londy Kate!

I broke in!

This is Jenny today. I'm Jylaire's sis-in-law and I hacked into Jylaire's blog because I want to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
When York and I were dating I was so intimidated by Jylaire and to be honest some days I still am! This girl is wonder woman! She is so incredibly smart and talented in everything she does. I know that I can call her anytime with a medical question and she will always know the answer. Or a question regarding a good deal or a sale- She is the Queen of this information. She educates herself daily and is always trying to be better in everything she does. She is an incredible cook and baker too. Did you see Piper's birthday photo's? I don't even try to compete with the treats that she makes because they are just that good. She goes above and beyond in everything she does and I look up to her for that. Jylaire is the most selfless and giving person. She will do anything for anyone and she is always so sincere. She genuinely cares. Like a few weeks ago when my little Reese had a seizure, Jylaire was at the hospital with her kids when we arrived in the ambulance- waiting for us. She then bought Reese some treats, a balloon and a darling sticker book at the gift shop and then she took pizza over to our house so we had some dinner to come home to. She is so thoughtful in everything that she does. And did I mention that she is beautiful?! You've all seen her, she is. And she is such a good friend. I couldn't have hand picked a better sister-in-law. Jylaire, you are such an amazing person. This little paragraph is only a smidgen to all there is about you. I love you dearly and hope you have a wonderful day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Piper's Pinkalicious Party!

Half dressed and ready for a Pinkalicious party!!!
Little Piper Jane turned one this past week, and we celebrated with a Pinkalicious party! We are so grateful to have been able to celebrate with family and friends! I had so much fun planning the event! We had homemade chicken salad sandwiches, made on pink flower shaped bread, of course! There were a bunch of salads, veggies, homemade pink flower suckers, and "fairy wands" (dipped pretzel wands) for everyone! I made about a million cupcakes and made little scalloped round favors with a "P" in the middle for on top! Pippi was so dang cute all night! She was an angel baby! She loved eating her cupcakes, opening presents, and jumping on the trampoline! It was the perfect first birthday party for our little Piper Jane!

the forever long 4th of july weekend!

The 4th of July is my favorite holiday! However, I'm okay with it being celebrated on a single day! Here's a look at our holiday weekend, and since I can't move my pictures around for some reason, they're completely out of order! We went to the Kaysville parade Saturday morning with Jenny and her family. It was great being there for a great parade and even better having a spot in the shade this year! We did fireworks in our culdesac that night and the kids had a blast! We had a 4th of July BBQ at my moms on Sunday, and as always, had a great time! Monday, we met everyone at the designated spot for the Layton fireworks! Definitely the best fireworks they've ever done! Mom served up rootbeer floats and we spent the pre-fireworks time hanging out and talking with friends! Such a fun weekend!

Heritage Days 2010

We look forward to our local heritage days every year, and this year did not disappoint! They always have a fantastic parade and a whole week of fun activities. The parade this year was a different experience because it was the week that Beck broke his collar bone and the morning after he had his stitches. Well, having a kid in a sling, wrap, and Frankenstein looking stitches is the ONLY way to hit a parade! The paradees (is that even a word?!?) would be throwing candy or frisbees, or whatever and then they'd see my little Beck sadly waving with his good arm. That kid made out like a bandit! We ended up with 4 frisbees, a couple of water bottles, tshirts, and entire shopping bag full of candy, and stuffed animals! Beck's favorite was this devil looking stuffed animal. He lovingly placed it in his newly acquired tshirt, wrapped it up, and laid it down for a nap. I love this little guy! London was wonderful during the parade; especially since a lot of my attention was going towards my little guy. Pip was in fine form. Definitely not a happy camper that morning. Matt was working, so my mom graciously volunteered to help me out with my crazies. She ended up with the Pipster who was so sad with all the super loud sirens and whoelse knows what... What made her finally happy, you ask? Playing in the cooler. Go figure. We had an amazing morning at the parade!

This is my favorite from the day!

My little guy!

I can't stop laughing looking at her saddest little face! Classic!

Ah, finally happy with the cooler and an otterpop!

One Year Ago Today...

Little Piper Jane joined our family! Words cannot express how loved this little one is! She is a complete ray of sunshine in our home. She is hilarious! She laughs whenever anyone else laughs, and then laughs at herself for laughing. She is crazy busy ALL of the time. She started walking at 10 months, and is all over the place. She's usually found either climbing up the stairs or going through the kitchen cabinets. She's already a girly girl. She loves sunglasses, necklaces, and throwing major tantrums when anything is taken away from her. Her fits are hilarious. She folds herself in half on the ground and holds her breath until she's ready to scream. We still think it's pretty funny. She is so smiley and is super adaptable when her schedule gets thrown off. She's taking 2 good naps a day, nursing 4ish times a day (mommy's not ready to give that up quite yet, but tells everyone that "the baby isn't ready to wean yet...") and is sleeping well at night. She loves everything Beck does with and to her. She lights up whenever he or Matt enter the room. Pippi is a total daddy's girl. She LOVES her daddy! She's also mastered taking out the numerous hair bows that Mommy puts in her piggies. It's a gift. Piper is just our little angel baby! We can't imagine life without our Pipster! Happy Birthday Pippi Jane!
