Reality T.V. opinions...

Okay, I admit I watch the Bachelorette. Matt tries to make me swear that I'll never watch another season, to no avail. Maybe not the greatest use of my time, but I'm sure there are worse things I could be watching! I'm just putting my personal opinions out there. As for Jillian, my two favorites so far are Jake and Kiptyn. I think Jake is going to be "the one" as far as the show goes. Kind of fun to speculate after only 2 shows, but I think I've made some decent picks. Who I can't handle: Wes, and sometimes the Juan. Buggy. That's my opinion about the Bachelorette.
One of my most favorite shows the past couple of years has been Jon and Kate plus 8. I just think of how difficult it is for me to raise 2 children, and freaking out about a third on the way, and finding comfort in watching someone else do it, and not always patiently, with 8 small kids. I just watched the season premiere, and I was seriously so, so saddened! There have been tons of rumors out there (as per my E News Weekend...) that Jon cheated on her, and she may have cheated on him, yada, yada. It was so crazy to watch it, and to know what a difficult time they're going through right now. I've been in a similar-ish situation with my folks, and it's definitely not fun for anyone involved; and it's hard enough to deal with it private, much less on national television. I may be seriously naive, but I really hope that they work it out! Okay, lame post, but my opinion nonetheless!

She did it!

She did it! My little Kater-tot graduated from preschool! A big event, yes; but the greatest part was that she actually participated in the program! I am not being at all sarcastic here. My London is so, so nervous about being in front of, or speaking, or dancing; basically performing of any kind of audience. She gets so worked up about it! She's the last kid on earth who I thought would have this issue, but she does. In her preschool program, she was part of The Little Red Hen story. She introduced the story, and then was the mouse who kept saying "Not I" to the little red hen. We were seriously so, so proud of her for doing her part! It was such a big deal to her, and now she knows that she can do it! She's so sad to be done with preschool, but so excited to start Kindergarten in the fall! My little one is growing up way too fast!

Disneyland Getaway!

This past week, we surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland! We had such a great time! We started the trip by waking the kids up at the crack of dawn on Monday morning and heading to the airport. They had no idea what was going on, or where we were headed to! We flew to Long Beach, CA, and started our vacation! We decided to hit the beach our first day, and the kids went crazy! Londy LOVED the freezing cold water and our resident pansy boy Beck preferred just running in the sand and playing on the lifeguard's watch tower. It was so nice to be in the warm sunshine! We headed from there to show the kids where I grew up, and got my favorite ice cream, from the former Thrifty Drug store. Yummy! Then off to the hotel and then Downtown Disney. We walked around and shopped a bit, then ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. It was fun, but Beck was consummed with the fact that he thought the iguana by him was real and was going to eat him. He ate his entire dinner with a butter knife in one hand; just in case.... Then back to the hotel for bed!

Day 2: We were up bright and early for our first day at Disneyland! The kids could barely contain themselves! We hit Dumbo ride first (huge mistake; it's the first ride in the park, and so the line was super long), then the carousel and teacups. I was really surprised how many rides Beck and I were able to ride! Beings we were there on a Tuesday and a Wednesday, the lines weren't very long, which is way helpful when you've got two toddlers. London LOVED the Matterhorn, Space Mountain, the teacups, and Splash Mountain. Beck says his favorite ride was "Sugar Pooh." Sadly, my kids had no idea who Winnie the Pooh really was, so he thinks his name is Sugar Pooh. Lame ride, by the way! The kids loved the Play Parade at California Adventure, too! We left the park for dinner, then off to sleep!

The parade route in California Adventure. Beckett entertained the crowd by dancing. It was hilarious!
Day 3: We entered the park pretty early to get in line for ehte Princess Mett and Greet. We really had no idea what to expect, but it was seriously the cutest thing ever! It took forever, but each Princess spent several minutes with each kid individually, talking to them, signing autographs, and taking pictures. London still can't believe that she met real life princesses! The rest of the day was spent seeing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse live on stage, more rides at California Adventure, Beckett napping while London and Matt hit all the rides he couldn't, and more rides at the Disneyland. We definitely could have spent another day or two there at the park!

How Beck spent the afternoon...
How impressed is anyone that I was able to take a picture of them on Splash Mountain???
Beck's Mickey Mouse Pirate hat!
London's souvineer choice; a princess sticker book. It has kept her quiet for countless hours now!
How every night ended! Love to look at them sleeping!
Day 4: Slept in and hit the hotel's pool right after breakfast. We showered, packed up all our stuff, and headed to the Discovery Children's Museum in Santa Ana. What a fun museum! I swear Matt had more fun than the kids, though! We spent the afternoon there before we headed to the airport for our evening flight. We had such a great time; it just went way too quick!

Baby News...

So, after a pretty rough weekend, I went to see my OBGYN today to make sure all the crazy pains I was having were normal, and not premature labor. Also, the baby is 30 weeks this week, so he wanted to do another ultrasound to see if she was growing. (At my 20 week visit, she was measuring really small, so I've been worried like crazy!) Well, after my exam, everything looks pretty good. The ultrasound explained the pains. The baby has caught up, size wise, and is actually weighing in at 3 lbs, 2 oz; 2 oz bigger than normal. Way exciting. Not so exciting is the fact that unnamed baby girl is breech. We're crossing our fingers that she can turn herself by the due date. At least it explains why it feels like her constant kicking is right on my cervix. It is! We've just been hoping for good news for the past 10 weeks, and now that she's caught up, we're exstatic! Now if she would just turn upside down, and kick elsewhere....
